A lovely start to Christmas – full church and lots of atmosphere. After all the health and safety warnings, I’m sure Andrew the vicar was relieved that no one set light to anything. Delicious mulled wine and mince pies after – low calorie of course!

Our original group of 5 was seriously diminished due to illness and family commitments. The two Christines (Chrissie Bradwell and Christine Craig) were undaunted and we enjoyed a brisk walk in glorious sunshine…and a welcome coffee at the Swan Inn.
Despite a rainy start and a late coach, thirty of us had a very enjoyable day. There was lots of time to shop, relax over a delicious lunch, wander round the market and sample the mulled wine.
