Only three hardy souls today and we were so lucky with the weather as the miserable drizzle gave way to lovely sunshine which lasted for the hour or so that we walked. We had good views of Ascot Racecourse and the London skyline. The next walk will be in the new year.

Walk at Dinton Pastures
It was a beautiful autumn morning and the meadows and lakes looked lovely in the sunshine. A brisk walk was followed by a welcome coffee and chat. A couple of people mentioned that they had never been to Lightwater Country Park so choosing where to go for November’s walk was easy!
Gourmet Diners
There were nine of us at our October meeting at Bill’s. It was a first for many of us and we weren’t disappointed – lovely atmosphere and delicious food. In fact so good we are going back on 16 December.
To Kill a Mockingbird
We all enjoyed reading/re-reading To Kill a Mockingbird and the discussion at our last meeting was lively. What a bonus that the play was on at Woking theatre in October – an excellent production.
Coffee and Chat
Just in case anyone hasn’t realised, the Coffee and Chat meetings on Mondays have move to Bill’s in Park Street. It’s a relaxed and friendly way to start the week so we look forward to seeing you there.
Bagshot WI Autumn Quiz 14 November
The Diamonds were out in force again as we had three teams at the Bagshot WI Quiz. Having at least one man for each team was a great help – thank you the husbands. We didn’t come first just a respectable ‘somewhere in the middle’. Is it a sign of getting older when, as well as policemen looking younger, quiz questions seem more difficult?
November Newsletter
The November newsletter is here with lots of info on visits and news of sub groups. Also a couple of photos of Jan and Sylvie at the Burlesque Evening – clothes on of course!
Naughty but Nice
Fourteen of us went to the Burlesque Evening at Camberley Theatre, most not knowing what to expect. It was risqué but great fun – not the usual WI sort of thing and a long way from Jam and Jerusalem!
