Our annual quiz is being held on Saturday 18 March. It’s always a popular, fun evening so keep the date free and bring your family and friends!
Our annual quiz was very enjoyable and it was good to welcome teams from Lightwater and Bagshot WIs. Judy Campbell taxed our brains with an interesting variety of questions. Identifying the names of sweets and chocolates for the table top quiz was great fun and surprisingly challenging. Congratulations to the Bright Sparks for winning and well done to all the teams who took part. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make the evening a success.
There are still tickets available for our quiz on 5 March. Why not join us? Individuals, couples or complete teams are welcome. Contact Amanda for more information.
The book group reading list for 2016 has been published on the Subgroups page. At our meeting in January we enjoyed drinks and a finger buffet and also discussed suggestions for books we could read this year. With everyone contributing their ideas, it means we have a wide range of books to enjoy. If anyone is interested in joining us, please contact Linda Welsh.
Don’t forget to buy your tickets for the CDWI Quiz which is at 7.30 pm on 5 March at St Mary’s. Tickets are £8 which includes a delicious ploughman’s supper. Teams of 6 – 8 people. Fun, laughter and good company – a great way to spend a Saturday evening so bring your family and friends. Tickets will be on sale at Monday’s meeting or you can contact Amanda.

Ignoring the power cut in true intrepid WI spirit, our AGM carried on by the light of mobile phones. We now have a new committee and a new President, Amanda Webster-Robbins. Thank you to our Tellers from Camberley WI, Cara Bradney and Brenda Ross.
Don’t forget the Annual Meeting is on Monday 9 November. We’ll be voting for the new committee and president. There’s still time to volunteer! It’s not all business and there will be time to chat, some fun quizzes and delicious cakes.
