Book Group 1

We meet in members homes every 5 or 6 weeks on Wednesday evenings at 7.30 pm. We are an informal group and enjoy reading new books and discussing them with friends.

Book Group 2

We are a small and friendly group who meet on a regular basis to discuss the books that we have read.  We enjoy reading an eclectic mix of genres and try to vary our topics to suit all different tastes.

Walking Group

We walk on the last Monday of the month in the morning.  Walks are approximately 4.5 to 5 miles long and take about 2½ hours.  After the walk some of us have lunch in a nearby pub or café.   Places we have walked include Lightwater Country Park, Frogmore Gardens, The Lookout, Virginia Water, Wraysbury Lakes and Ankerwycke Meadows, Dinton Pastures and sections of the Basingstoke Canal and River Blackwater.

Coffee and Chat

Meetings are on alternate Mondays at 10.30 am at Frankie and Benny’s in Camberley. It’s not a formal group so anyone who fancies a drink and chat just turns up. It’s a very sociable and relaxing start to the week.

Knitting, Crochet and Quilting Group  

We are a small, friendly group that meets at 7.00 pm on the Thursday evening following the WI meeting. Whether you are a beginner, improver or expert you are welcome to join us.

Gourmet Gossipers Supper Group

We meet every 5 or 6 weeks Thursday evenings and have eaten in a variety of local restaurants. It’s a treat not to do the cooking and to enjoy tasty food and a chat with friends.

Sewing Bee

This group meets on Friday afternoons between 2 pm and 4 pm.  All abilities are welcome.

Visits

Since starting the visits in October 2013 we have been to the Royal Hospital Chelsea, home of the Chelsea Pensioners, the Christmas Markets in Winchester, Bath and Salisbury, the Poppy Factory in Richmond, Wimbledon grounds and museum, the Veolia Recycling Centre in Alton, behind the scenes at the Royal Opera House, Bletchley Park, a variety of walks in London,  the Bombay Sapphire Distillery and to see the Christmas lights at Kew and Blenheim.
